Statement pieces!

Romantic breeze by the bay today-the poetry inspiring kinds! :)

Good morning!Hope you are all fabulous!

Last Sunday, I was craving pasta, and when I crave, I crave very specifically!lol..My taste buds always know what they want! It was Linguine Portofino..and not just Linguine Portofino from a restaurant but Linguine Portofino from Nick's Lighthouse-(that's how specific my cravings are!) and nothing else would suffice!
My cravings have often led to spontaneous sojourns and special adventures! I've had friends who voluntarily went out in the middle of the night to get me chocolate cake, because I was craving some..they've brought me samosas(Indian fried dumplings-if I may call them that!) despite coming home late from work..My mom makes her special chilli chicken happen whenever I crave it!I received special chocolates I was craving, from my sister, without a mention of a word to her-that was heavenly interference!!:)  I could go on and on..

Anyway, back to my Linguine Portofino!This is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever sampled in recent times! So we drove down,all the way just for some brunch!Whenever you are in San Francisco, near Pier 39, do sample this gastronomic delight at Nick's Lighthouse!So this was like the ...ummmm....'n'th time I was going back for the same dish! Loved it all over again!!

Now for a snapshot of what I wore :)  Statement pieces like a necklace and a pop of color with accessories or shoes always add panache to a simple jeans and tee look-don't they?!So,here I am-hanging out with Ginger!

Floral top

A simple outfit for bonnie Thursday. :)

Pajama dressing is a recent trend which I think requires an imaginative twist to pull off!I am going to stay clear of that trend for now until I can sport my super comfy 'hello kitty' and rudolph jammies in public! You can see the trend here :)

Though my pjs are out, I have this pretty floral top (sleepwear) that I always wanted to wear out-it passes off as a top doesn't it? :) So, in the name of the sleepwear trend I am sporting my rose top(I call it that:) ) for now with a jacket and jeans..Who can tell? ;)

Plaid Tie up

For today, I am just copying a trend I'm seeing everywhere this fall-the tie up shirt around the waist!I love the way the plaid shirts give a Scottish skirt look when viewed from the back and side. I have paired mine with elements from the shirt itself ; i.e with green and red..this is the closest I could ever get to grunge chic! :) I am loving it and am going to be doing this for a while :)

The little red dress

Good morning ladies!

Besides the little black dress, I think a little red dress is an absolute essential in one's wardrobe for the little oomph factor :). It could be any silhouette, something you know suits your body type. This perfect swing dress from Modcloth had me at hello!  It had to be-it was the dress I had been looking for! I love the shape, I love the red, very Audrey, very classy :). This dress is also so dreamy  and nostalgic to me as I've grown up being dressed by Mama in little dresses with the 'umbrella swing'. I whirled about continuously in this dress like a little girl!

Floral top, leather jacket+ Boots!

Time to take out those boots! Yay!! It's not that cold yet but the evenings are just right for the boots! :) . This is a casual look, with an empire waist floral top, paired with skinny jeans, faux suede boots and a faux leather biker jacket. I am again somehow drawn to empire waist tops but I would only recommend them for maternity :). I am serious! I love this top but I received very kind smiles at my local grocery store and someone even let me go ahead in line! I couldn't blame them with my chubby face n all..Lol!

This top is going to be tucked away for a while :)

A Maxi number

It's a leisurely day. A little cloudy, a little blithe, with the sun playing peek-a-boo :)..I'm wearing a maxi skirt with a leather jacket, a simple lace neckline tank top, ballet flats and matching accessories.
On second thoughts, should have worn some colour aye?
