Plaid Tie up

For today, I am just copying a trend I'm seeing everywhere this fall-the tie up shirt around the waist!I love the way the plaid shirts give a Scottish skirt look when viewed from the back and side. I have paired mine with elements from the shirt itself ; i.e with green and red..this is the closest I could ever get to grunge chic! :) I am loving it and am going to be doing this for a while :)

One shirt, four ways

I have been wearing my favorite plaid button down in different ways. Here are a few ways I have been sporting it around. I have layered it with a simple V neck sweater(and added a bow to it ;) )-(remember how I've used bows earlier?? :) see this and this ), worn it with a military jacket, layered it with a racer back underneath and worn it tucked in a skirt. 'Tis the season to layer up!

Bundle up this winter!Stay warm with multi-layers of clothing. One can really experiment with this one. Bring out your sweater vests, faux leather jackets(we love faux leather because we love animals!), old sweaters; chambray, plaid or plain shirts and mix and match them up to create cool layers!

I layered up with my plaid shirt, and a sweater, a simple jacket and boot socks for my boots.

Nude pumps, nude pumps..they go with almost everything. A staple for every wardrobe! Pair it with a dress, skirt or jeans..for a casual dress up or with work attire. The trick to selecting a pair is to choose a shade that matches your complexion. Need not be exact but close..they can lengthen your legs beautifully! Mine have a hint of camel. Camel, Rose,Blush, Taupe, Natural, Tan, Beige or Chocolate-go find your perfect pair!

Plaid and my sister

The plaid trend according to me, was set by my sister. Really! Long before plaid became a staple in one's wardrobe, my sister sported them , day in and day out..So this look is a tribute to my sister-the bestest in the world!

I have had this skirt for a long time but was never satisfied with whatever I paired it with. When I got myself this flannel shirt, my dilemma was solved!I wore this for a night out.Has the skirt been done justice to? :)
